Phoenix High Security Locksmith
High Security Lock Installation
Pick-, bump-, and drill-resistant locks and keys you cannot copy at a hardware store.
Phoenix’s High Security Locksmith
ACME Locksmith handles high-security lock installation and service across the Phoenix metro, the same locks trusted by banks, schools, medical offices, and government facilities. We are a licensed, veteran-owned Phoenix company, open since 1997, with four shops and more than 170,000 completed jobs. We install Medeco, Mul-T-Lock, ASSA, and Marks cylinders that resist picking, bumping, and drilling, with patent-protected keys that cannot be copied at a hardware store. We serve Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, Gilbert, and the Valley.
Why High-Security Locks
Standard locks have two weak points. These fix both.

Pick and bump resistant
Sidebars, ball bearings, and special keyways defeat the picking and bumping that open standard locks in seconds.

Drill resistant
Hardened plates and Grade 1 materials stop the drill, the fastest way through an ordinary lock.

Keys you control
Patent-protected high-security keys need special equipment and a key card to duplicate, so no one copies your key without permission. These keys are not available in big-box stores.

Brands We Install, and Why
Mul-T-Lock is our favorite. Its double dimple-cut keyway resists bumping and picking, and the Hercular deadbolt’s retaining bearing locks the bolt into the frame so it cannot be pried apart. Medeco cylinders are in government buildings everywhere, with cross-cut keys that make bumping impossible.
ASSA and Marks round out the lineup. Marks offers Grade 1 and Grade 2 commercial cylinders at a lower price point. Not ready for a full upgrade? We can drop a high-security cylinder into a Grade 2 lock for better key control without the full cost.
Where High-Security Goes
Business doors
Offices, retail, and medical businesses that may hand keys to employees. Easy-to-copy keys are the weak point now that big box store kiosks will company any standard type of key, even those marked as “Do Not Duplicate”.
Deadbolts
High-security deadbolts from Mul-T-Lock Hercular and Medeco for homes that want serious protection.
Adding a half deadbolt will give you the highest level of security because there’s no keyhole on the outside of the door to attack.
Padlocks
High-security padlocks for gates, storage, and equipment. If you have a vehicle yard, high security padlocks are a must.
High security padlocks have at least 3/8 inch thick shackles and shackle guards to protect them from cutting, as well as restricted key ways to protect them from being picked or drilled.

Serving the Phoenix Valley
We serve the entire Phoenix Valley from four shops: Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, and Gilbert, with mobile service across the metro.
What Customers Say
High Security Locksmith FAQ
What makes a lock high-security?
Pick, bump, and drill resistance from sidebars, hardened plates, and Grade 1 materials, plus a patent-protected key that cannot be copied at a hardware store.
How do I know if I already have high-security keys?
They look unlike any normal key: dimples drilled into the face, side grooves milled down the middle, and often a patent number stamped on the key. Bring it by and we will confirm.
Do 'Do Not Duplicate' keys protect me?
No. DND keys are copied at hardware stores all the time. Real protection comes from a patented key that needs special equipment and a key card to duplicate.
Are high-security locks worth it for a home?
For most businesses, yes. For homes it depends. If your doors are solid, a high-security cylinder is a big upgrade, and we can also add one to a Grade 2 lock for better key control at lower cost.
Which brand is best?
We install Mul-T-Lock, Medeco, ASSA, and Marks. Mul-T-Lock is our favorite for its bump-resistant keyway and frame-locking deadbolt. We match the right one to your needs.
