How much does smart lock installation cost?
Professional installation starts at $289 fully installed, and you save $20 when you book online. The final price depends on the lock and the door.
Do smart locks work without internet?
Yes. The lock still works by keypad, fingerprint, or physical key with no Wi-Fi. You only lose remote features like app control and notifications until it reconnects. Once the Internet is restored you will regain access to those features plus any events that occurred when the Internet was not connected.
Do smart locks work without power?
Yes. They run on batteries. When your power goes out, your Wi Fi access to the lock will be disconnected so you won’t be able to remotely access or monitor the lock, but the lock codes will still let people into the home. Once power is restored full functionality is returned.
Can you fix a smart lock I installed myself?
Yes. We fix locks that lock backward, bind, or will not throw the bolt, usually a door-alignment or strike issue, and we reprogram them correctly.
Which smart lock should I buy?
For most homes we recommend the eufy FamiLock S3 Max, Schlage Encode, or Yale Connect by August. For simple keyless entry on a budget, the Teeho TE002.
