National builders including Lennar, Meritage, and Taylor Morrison installed Gen 1 and Gen 2 Kwikset SmartKey locks on homes across the valley before 2017, including communities in Eastmark and other East Valley neighborhoods. I stopped in to get a key fob programmed. Carter was able to program the fob in about 5 minutes. It works great and the cost was $150 less than another locksmith I called. I would recommend Acme Locksmiths.

Are the Kwikset SmartKey locks in your home safe?
The first-generation Kwikset SmartKey cylinders can be bypassed with a cheap tool sold on Amazon. Later SmartKey cylinders fixed the issue, but the early ones did not. If your home was built before the builder updated, we recommend replacing the cylinder. We do this in Mesa daily.
